It's nine months into 2016. How did your News Year's resolution work to quit smoking? If you tried to kick the habit and need a little more help or want to get a jump on 2017, the Primary Care Resource Center (PCRC) at Monongahela Valley Hospital is offering smoking cessation classes which will be held Oct. 6,13, 20, 25 and 27 along with Nov. 3 and 10. When you think of superheroes, Batman, Superman, Spiderman and Wonder Woman often come to mind; however superheroes walk among us along the streets in the Mon Valley. On October 8, during the 13th Annual Monongahela Valley Hospital/Lois Orange Ducoeur Breast Cancer Walk, McKean and Fallowfield avenues in Charleroi will be filled with superheroes who are raising funds for and awareness of breast cancer.
